2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Danny Hussey received a BFA from NSCAD University and has since had numerous solo and group shows, nationally and internationally. He has received grants from the Ontario Arts Council, the City of Ottawa, and the Province of Nova Scotia.  Hussey’s work can be found in the collection of the City of Ottawa, the Nova Scotia Art Bank, as well as corporate collections such as Nortel Networks in Ottawa, and Organza Foods in Winnipeg and Rotary Home in Ottawa.

Danny's work combines painting, plywood constructions, wood cuts, block printing, screen printing, photography, and video. Subjects are derived from significant moments in time and then expanded to reveal the consequence of that experience.

He is participating in a group show in August, 2013 in The Hague, Netherlands, at Quartair Contemporary Art Initiatives. The show is titled "Interference"and he is creating a work called "the radio operators". In support of this international project he has received a Canada Council for the Arts, Travel Grant, a Mid Career Artist Grant from Ontario Arts Council and an Exhibition Assistance Grant from Ontario Arts Council.
